Ying Ying Liu, daughter of China’s most renowned 20th-century composer, Liu Chi, grew up surrounded by the beauty and power of music. She is steeped in Eastern and Western musical traditions and earned her Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music in the U.S. She taught music at the university level and performed as a classical pianist and soprano in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. Ying Ying now devotes her musical talent to wildlife conservation and preservation of nature, a cause she is passionate about.

She founded LumiVoce – A Voice for the Wild in 2016, to turn today's wildlife consumers into tomorrow's wildlife protectors. Through conservation music videos, wildlife stories and Voices for the Planet education programs, LumiVoce positively engages, educates, and inspires people, especially the young generation to protect the earth’s fragile and rapidly deteriorating ecosystems and create a sustainable future for all living things. A healthy ecosystem and rich biodiversity can help combat climate change by regulating temperatures and store carbon.
